Intramural Soccer/Flag Football Program Participation for Grades 3-6th

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce the upcoming start of our intramural soccer and flag football program! This program is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment.

Program Details:

•Dates: Soccer October 14th - November and/or Flag Football Februrary 2 - March

•Days: Tuesday & Wednesday

•Time: 4:30-5:30 PM

•Location: Sea Park Elementary School East field

What to Expect:

•Skills Development: Our program focuses on teaching fundamental soccer skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork including scrimmaging.

•Physical Activity: Intramural soccer is a great way for your child to stay active and improve their overall fitness.

•Social Interaction: Playing with peers can help develop important social skills like cooperation, communication, and sportsmanship.

What to Bring:

•Appropriate athletic attire (e.g., soccer cleats, shorts, t-shirt)

•Shin guards

•Water bottle

Important Notes:

•All participants must have a completed and signed participation form (available from Ms. Ahern-PE Teacher).

•Please ensure your child has appropriate athletic footwear for safety.

•If your child has any medical conditions or allergies, please notify the coach and school nurse.

•Participants will be grouped into two levels by grade. Level 1=3rd & 4th grade. Level 2=5th & 6th grade.

•Jamborees will be held at the end of season at a location to be determined by each section (Satellite High School). Jamborees will be round-robin competition among neighboring schools in each section with abbreviated halves. Competition will be co-ed and will be separated by level (3rd/4th, 5th/6th).

We encourage all students to participate in this exciting extracurricular activity. It's a great way to stay active, make new friends, and learn valuable life skills.
