Dear Tropical Families,

I am thrilled to be at Tropical!    I am originally from West Virginia, but I have lived in Florida for over 40 years.  I have been with Brevard Public Schools for 34 years. 

I started my career at Hoover Middle School as a Math and ESE teacher.  I went to Satellite High as the Assistant Principal of Discipline and then back to Hoover as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum.  From there, I moved to Edgewood as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and finally to West Melbourne Elementary School for Science as the principal.  I have 10 years experience as an assistant principal and 16 years as a principal. 

On a personal note, I have two grown children and five grandchildren.  I am happy to be working back on the island.  My two priorities are safety and instruction.  I firmly believe that safety is number one and protecting instructional time is number two.

Hello, Team Tropical!

I have been in education since 1998, teaching English, ESOL, and Reading. I have taught every grade level from kindergarten to graduate school and have been in leadership for the past five years. I’ve lived all over, as my husband served 23 years in the army. Our family has lived in Florida twice, for a total of nine years.

My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and we have a 14-year-old daughter. In my free time, I love anything outdoors, fitness, dancing, writing, and reading.

I look forward to teaming up with Dr. Marshall and leading Tropical to greatness. Stop by and say hi!
